The responsible body is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g., names, e-mail addresses, etc.).

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke any consent you have already given at any time. To do so, simply send us an informal e-mail. The legality of the data processing carried out up to the point of revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to data collection in specific cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this privacy policy. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims (objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR).

If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing purposes; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will no longer be used for direct marketing purposes (objection pursuant to Art. 21 (2) GDPR). Automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged violation. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done if it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties. We use technical and organizational security measures to protectyour personal data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Information, blocking, deletion, and correction

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to receive information free of charge at any time about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing, and, if applicable, a right to correct, block, or delete this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice if you have any further questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. To do so, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice. The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we will generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification process, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend, or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its deletion.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – apart from its storage – only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

3. Data Collection on our Website

Cookies

Some of the web pages use cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies." They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Cookies that are necessary for the electronic communication process or for the provision of certain functions you have requested (e.g., shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If other cookies (e.g., cookies for analyzing your surfing behavior) are stored, these are treated separately in this privacy policy.

Server Log Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.

Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The data entered in the contact form is therefore processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. To do so, simply send us an informal e-mail. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

4. Analysis Tools and Advertising

Google Analytics Google Signals

As part of Google Analytics, we use the Google Signals extension, a service that enables cross-device tracking, i.e., tracking that covers various devices used by users. To do this, Google uses the data of users who are logged into a Google service when visiting our websites and have activated the "personalized advertising" option in their Google account settings (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated), which can be deactivated by the user at any time. The information retrieved in this process may include the user's location, search history, YouTube history, and data from websites that work with Google, and is used to provide aggregated and anonymized insights into users' cross-device behavior. Google Signals is used exclusively with IP anonymization enabled. Google does not provide us with specific user profiles, but only with statistics based on logins and device types of all users who were logged into a Google account and performed a conversion. Further information on Google's terms of use and privacy policy is available at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/. We have entered into a data processing agreement (DPA) with Google for the use of Google Signals, which ensures that Google processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

Use of Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyze website usage. The data obtained from this is used to optimize our website and advertising measures.

Google Analytics is provided to us by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google processes the data on website usage on our behalf and is contractually obligated to take measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of the processed data.

During your visit to our website, the following data, among other things, is recorded:

  • Pages accessed
  • Achieving "website goals" (e.g., contact requests and newsletter sign-ups)
  • Your behavior on the pages (e.g., length of stay, clicks, scrolling behavior)
  • Your approximate location (country and city)
  • Your IP address (in abbreviated form, so that no unique assignment is possible)
  • Technical information such as browser, Internet service provider, device, and screen resolution
  • Source of your visit (i.e., which website or advertising medium brought you to us)

Personal data such as name, address, or contact details are never transferred to Google Analytics.

This data is transferred to Google servers in the USA. We would like to point out that the same level of data protection cannot be guaranteed in the USA as within the EU.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years from your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID that can be used to recognize you on future visits to the website.

The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which enables the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data remains stored in aggregated form for an indefinite period.

If you do not agree with the collection of data, you can prevent this by installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics or by rejecting cookies via our cookie settings dialog.

Use of Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, Barrow St, Dublin 4, Ireland, on our website. This service allows website tags to be managed via an interface. Google Tag Manager itself does not set any cookies, but only tags, and does not collect any personal data. The service triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. However, Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been carried out at the domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. Further information on data protection can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=de.

Google Ads

We use the remarketing feature of Google AdWords from Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google") in our online service. This feature is used to present interest-based advertisements to visitors within the Google advertising network. In the online service, visitors can then be presented with advertisements that relate to content that the visitor has previously accessed in other online services that use Google's remarketing function. If you do not wish to use Google's remarketing function, you can deactivate it by adjusting the settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads.

Further information about Google Ads and Google's privacy policy can be found at:https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=en/.

If you have accessed our online service via a Google ad, Google AdWords will store a cookie on your device. This cookie expires after 90 days. The information collected using this conversion cookie is used to compile statistics on our conversion rate. This means that we learn how many users have come to our websites via a Google Ad and purchased a product within 90 days. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser settings to block cookies from the relevant domain: Google AdWords: googleadservices.com.

On this website, data is collected and stored for marketing, market research, and optimization purposes using SalesViewer® technology from SalesViewer® GmbH on the basis of the legitimate interests of the website operator (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

For this purpose, a JavaScript-based code is used to collect company-related data and the corresponding usage. The data collected with this technology is encrypted using a non-reversible one-way function (known as hashing). The data is immediately pseudonymized and is not used to personally identify visitors to this website.

The data stored within the scope of Salesviewer will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and there are no legal retention obligations that prevent its deletion.

You can object to the collection and storage of data at any time with future effect by clicking on this link to prevent SalesViewer® from collecting data on this website in the future. An opt-out cookie for this website will be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you will need to click on this link again.

5. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we require your e-mail address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The data entered in the newsletter registration form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of data, your e-mail address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide us with for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted after you unsubscribe. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.

Brevo

This website uses the services of Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to send newsletters. The provider is the Brevo Group, 55 Rue d'Amsterdam, 75008 Paris, France.

Brevo is a service that can be used to organize and analyze the sending of newsletters, among other things. If you enter data for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter (e.g., e-mail address), this data will be stored on Brevo's servers. Processing takes place mainly in the European Union, but data may also be processed on servers outside the EU, depending on the user's region and the specific use of the service. In these cases, Brevo takes the necessary measures in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to ensure that your data remains protected (e.g., through standard contractual clauses or other appropriate safeguards).

With the help of Brevo, we can analyze our newsletter campaigns. When you open an e-mail sent with Brevo, a file contained in the e-mail (known as a web beacon) connects to Brevo's servers. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked on. Technical information is also collected (e.g., time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient and is used exclusively for statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.

If you do not want Brevo to analyze your data, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. We provide a link for this purpose in every newsletter message.

Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from both our servers and Brevo's servers after you unsubscribe. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.

For more information, please refer to Brevo's privacy policy at: Privacy Policy | Brevo.

By using Brevo's services and accepting Brevo's Terms of Service, which also describe the Data Processing Agreement (DPA), we oblige Brevo to protect our customers' data in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and not to disclose it to third parties. Further details on the Data Processing Agreement can be found at the following link: Terms of Service | Brevo
